You guys. I am majorly, totally, butt-crazy IN LOVE with today’s recipe. Sorry. I watched Clueless the other day and I just had to. But seriously, this Gingerbread Breakfast Smoothie is not only full of all the holiday feels, it’s also insanely good for you.
I know, it doesn’t look the least bit healthy, does it? It looks more like a decadent, creamy sugar bomb, but it’s actually jam packed with good-for-you ingredients like fresh ginger for boosting your immunity, oats for fiber and banana for potassium. It’s also naturally gluten free and vegan (minus the whipped cream- but that’s totally an optional splurge, and you could always whip up some coconut whipped cream to keep it vegan friendly).
But the best part about this smoothie is that it tastes EXACTLY like a gingerbread cookie, making it the perfect healthy treat to enjoy for breakfast or anytime of the day! I love making smoothies for breakfast (some of my faves are my Birthday Cake Protein Shake and my Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie) because they literally come together in two minutes, and they’re a delicious dose of protein and fiber to help fuel you through a busy day. And let’s face it- busy days become even busier during the holidays. With all the shopping, wrapping, baking and party going we can use all the help we can get, am I right?
And to that end, freeshippingcode.com is giving away a $200 Target gift card to make your holiday season a little bit sweeter! They also have loads of free shipping codes to help you save on your online holiday shopping. It’s super easy to enter the giveaway, just click on the link below!
