Sesame Garlic Noodles

Sesame Garlic Noodles- easy to make and BIG on garlic flavor. Garlic infused crispy rice is an optional topping that adds a wonderful crunchy texture.

For the crispy rice:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ cup leftover cooked rice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Pinch of salt

For the noodles:

  • 8 ounces Annie Chun’s Maifun noodles
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped chives for garnish


  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet. Add rice and cook until golden and toasted, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Add 1 minced clove of garlic during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking. Season with salt and remove from the pan. Set aside.
  2. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse, transfer to a mixing bowl and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, honey and 3 cloves of minced garlic.
  4. Heat the skillet over medium heat. Add the mixture and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour the mixture over the noodles and toss gently to combine.
  6. Transfer to bowls and top with crispy rice, toasted sesame seeds and chives.
