Ingredients

  • 2 cups store-bought or homemade hummus
  • 1 persian cucumber diced
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate arils
  • 2 tablespoons feta crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons mint finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sumac optional
  • Pita chips pita bread, or fresh vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. Spread hummus in an even layer onto a platter or shallow bowl. Top with cucumber, pomegranate, feta and mint. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sumac or other Mediterranean spice, if using.
  2. Serve with pita chips, pita bread and/or fresh vegetables.

Recipe Notes

  • Change up the flavor of hummus: the recipe calls for plain, but roasted garlic, bell pepper or lemon hummus would all be wonderful too.
  • If you want to keep this dip vegan, simply omit the feta
  • Instead of mint, try another fresh herb like parsley or oregano
  • Examples of other Mediterranean spices you could use in place of Aleppo pepper include sumac, za’atar and dried oregano.
