Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon homemade chocolate syrup plus more for coating the mug (see my recipe for All Natural Chocolate Syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Dip the rim of the mug into the chocolate syrup followed by the graham cracker crumbs. Add one tablespoon of chocolate syrup to the mug and brew one cup of coffee on the rich brew setting into the mug. Gently stir to combine.
  2. While the coffee is brewing, heat the milk in the frothing jar without the lid for 30-45 seconds in a microwave. Remove from microwave and cover jar with lid. Pump the lid for about 15-20 seconds to aerate and create a foamy texture.
  3. Spoon the milk and foam into the coffee. Top with marshmallows and toast them lightly with a culinary torch.

Recipe Notes

  • To make the best Smores Latte get your milk steamed and ready to go while you brew your coffee so you can quiskly assemble the drink.
  • If you don’t like burnt marshmallows, just keep the flame a few inches away from the marshmallows, making sure to constantly rotate the glass / mug. That way you’ll lightly brown its surface instead of lighting it on fire.
  •  I recommend 2% milk  for this Smores Latte recipe.
  • You can pre-heat your latte cups to ensure the milk maintains proper temperature. Pour hot  water in the mug and let it warm up. That way the Smores Latte won't cool down when you pour it into the cup.
