These Caramel Apple Chips are fall perfection!
Feast your eyes on the yummy gorgeousness of these Salted Caramel Apple Chips! All you need is three ingredients to make this easy homemade treat! Fall perfection.
Baked apple chips are a great healthy snack, but why not let yourself splurge a little and add a bit of salted caramel to the mix?
These caramel apple chips would be great to set out as an after school snack- and score some serious cool points with the kiddos! Or tuck small portions into treat bags tied with pretty baker’s twine to hand out to friends and co-workers.
Tips:
- Cut the apples as thin as you can. This works best using a mandolin. The thinner the better and the crispier your chips. The thicker slices will remain slightly chewy. If that’s your thing go for it.
- When it comes to brushing the caramel on the sliced apples, it works best to apply a thin layer. This way, the caramel bakes right into the apple and we’re left with a crispy apple chip with a hint of caramel.
- These need to bake low and slow. The process cannot be rushed by upping the heat. We need to be patient here.
