This cucumber green tea cooler is the most refreshing beverage to enjoy during those warmer days, and it’s packed with nutrients, too!
When the warm weather comes around I find myself getting a whole lot more creative in the beverage department. I’m sure I’m not the only one craving something cool and refreshing in the summer months, and if it happens to be super healthy at the same time then even better, right?
This Cucumber Green Tea Cooler is a gem of a drink that I made when I was simply parched one humid 80 degree day with ingredients I already had on hand. Juiced cucumber is one of the most refreshing things ever known to man in my opinion, and adding pear gives it the perfect amount of mild sweetness. Then the lime balances that sweetness out with a bit of much needed brightness, ginger lends a nice little kick, and a hint of fresh herbs (feel free to use mint, basil, or both!) just makes you go ahhhhh after each sip.
But my favorite part of this cooling beverage is the chilled green tea. It’s super subtle but I think I just like the fact that it’s in there in all its antioxidant-filled glory, giving my drink a fancy, spa quality. Like this is totally something I would sip on in a fluffy white robe whilst waiting to get a detoxifying mud wrap.
Now, I chose not to strain this drink in order to reap all of it’s health benefits, but if you’re one of those people who are creeped out by a little texture, by all means, strain away. It will still taste incredible!
