Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats

These Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats are packed with protein from a secret ingredient- they’re perfect when you want to start the day with something sweet, but not too sweet! Chocolate Orange Overnight OatsHello! Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats coming in hot! Except not really because, you know, you eat them cold, but whatevs…

Chocolate Orange Overnight OatsI swear I’ll never get tired of overnight oats, and this is why:

-They are da best on-the-go breakfast for busy mornings- just pop them into a mason jar and garnish with some trendy superfoods toppings, then feel healthy AF while you eat them at your desk, or wherever- my dining table=my desk most of the time.

-They’ll keep you full until lunch.

-They’re such a cool blank canvas for all sorts of flavors!

Chocolate Orange Overnight OatsI really love my Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats (they’re the top recipe here on Le Petit Eats!), but lately I can’t get enough of these incredible Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats.  The contrast between the chocolatey richness and the bright citrus from the orange is a perfect match, especially the bitter flecks of orange zest that are stirred right into the oats- YUM. Definitely don’t skip that because it’s everything.

Chocolate Orange Overnight OatsAnd there’s another sneaky little ingredient that I mixed in to give them an added health upgrade: Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, which are a pretty sweet addition to any batch of overnight oats. It’s a powdered supplement that provides a hefty dose of all-natural protein (from pasture raised cows). Making collagen a regular part of your diet benefits your hair, skin, nails bones, digestion and so much more. And since it’s soluble in liquids incorporating it into your recipes is practically effortless.

Chocolate Orange Overnight OatsIf you’re going to start experimenting with adding collagen peptides to your recipes, I suggest starting with these Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats- the only thing I like more about them than the bright specks of orange zest and the secret collagen boost are the toppings: juicy orange segments and crunchy cacao nibs? Weekday breakfast doesn’t get any better than this, folks.

Oats are life. Always happy to be able to change up my breakfasts a bit with a new twist. Still oats though. Always oats. Anything else would be Oatrageous.
